1) Install Security updates- these should be updated on a regular basis.
2) Install antivirus software... and make sure it is activated- you don't want
any sites corrupting your computer!
3) Install a firewall- This can protect your computer from unauthorized access
from hackers.
4) Trust your instincts… If something seems too good to be true, or way too
low of a price, chances are it is a scam.
5) Do your homework- If you are in doubt, research the Better Business Bureau
(BBBOnLine) to make sure the online retailers have a proven record of
satisfying customers.

Finance Tip For This Week- What % of your salary goes to savings?

Hello Divas- hope you have had a great week of shopping and saving. This week, we are curious how many people actually have a set percentage that they save of their salary? After doing some research, I found a good idea is to decide on a portion of your earnings that will go into savings. Ten to fifteen percent is great, but if you cannot do that, the experts say even five percent is great. Basically, figure what you can sacrifice, without too much discomfort- yes, you still need to enjoy your life.

Hello Divas! This week’s tip seems pretty basic- but it is so important- and that is to set up a separate savings account from your checking account. If you mix the two, chances are you will “dip” into your savings… and never really pay it back. So next time you save on that new Prada bag, put the money “saved” into your savings account!
